Meet Jackie
Licensed Mental Health Therapist & Parent Coach
Welcome! My name is Jacqueline Machado and I am a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (#100593) and a Registered Play Therapist (T5466). I graduated from CSULB with a Bachelor's in Social Work in 2016 and UCLA with a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2018. I am the current President of the Inland Empire Chapter for the California Association for Play Therapy.
My passion is helping all humans navigate challenges through a relational/neuroscience lens. I have dedicated myself to learning about the science of relationships, the science of regulation and use this approach to support each individual in their therapy process. Interpersonal neurobiology, relational neuroscience and attachment theory are my primary approaches to therapy. When working with children, I focus on seeing the family system as part of the process to enhance the child/parent relationship.
I will partner with you, help you become your own expert by helping you understand your behaviors so that together we can find creative solutions to these challenges.
My areas of expertise are: Adults with Trauma and Toxic Stress, Parenting Children with Intense Behaviors, Parent/Child Conflict, Attachment and Bonding, Trauma Child Abuse/Neglect, Anger and Aggression, Depression, Dysregulation, Anxiety, Stress Management, Social Skills.
My regular rate for a 50 minute session, regardless of the number of people involved is $150. I am currently offering telehealth counseling services to any resident of California and have limited in person visits.
I understand that finding the right therapist for you and your family is the most important part of therapy. Please call or email me to schedule a free 15 minute consultation. If I am not a good fit for you, I will do my best to get you referred to someone who is.
I look forward to joining you in this journey!
